Position will be the system Blood Bank Manager, overseeing the Transfusion Medicine departments at all sites. This position will be a member of the Centralus Laboratory Leadership Team. This position will be responsible for the technical aspects of all testing across all Blood Bank departments for the system. This position will be responsible for organizing the workflow to achieve optimal efficiency and for utilizing appropriate metrics to maximize departmental operational efficiency. The Blood Bank manager will collaborate with departmental Pathologists and other known experts on technical issues, including procedures, Quality Assurance, and the appropriateness of testing. The Blood Bank manager will be expected to oversee, assist, and guide the Blood Bank department and Transfusion Medicine at Arnot Ogden Medical Center and Cayuga Medical Center, and to provide guidance to the Transfusion Medicine departments, Medical Directors, and Administrative Directors at affiliated sites. The Blood Bank manager will report directly to the Clinical Laboratory Director.
