Job Summary:
The Special Projects Manager will play a crucial role in advancing Cayuga Health Partner's clinical integration and population health initiatives. Reporting directly to the AVP, Clinical Integration and Population Health, this dynamic position will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of high-priority projects that support the organization's strategic goals including improving patient care and optimizing workflows while maintaining cost effectiveness. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, proactive, and adaptable individual with a strong understanding of healthcare operations, project management methodologies, and the evolving landscape of value-based care. This role requires the ability to manage ambiguity and effectively navigate a variety of assignments at the direction of the AVP.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Ensure all project activities are aligned with the overall strategic goals and objectives of the Clinical Integration and Population Health department and the broader organization.
- Works with key stakeholders across organizations to foster engagement, alignment, and to achieve project objectives.
- Undertake a variety of special projects and assignments as directed by the AVP, Clinical Integration and Population Health, which may fall outside the typical scope of ongoing initiatives. This requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to quickly learn new concepts and take on new challenges.
- Manage complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to timelines and budgets
- Effectively manage change initiatives, minimizing disruption and maximizing adoption, including ability to adjust to changing priorities and manage diverse assignments
- Proactively identify process improvements and show initiative by taking independent action.
- Prepare and deliver clear and concise written and verbal communications to a variety of audiences, including executive leadership, project teams, and external partners.
- Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above.
Requirements:
Education - Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, nursing, or a related field required
Experience - 3 to 5 years of experience, including previous multi-location healthcare project management experience, Knowledge of current healthcare landscape including current CMS programs, value based payments, population health. Demonstrated success in influencing and supporting operational partners with organizational change management
Licensure - None required
Physical Requirements - Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. The person in this position frequently communicates with stakeholders, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. This position requires occasional driving to onsite locations.
