Revenue Optimization Coordinator is responsible for managing and oversite of medical equipment, supplies, and procedure charge capture within Surgical Services/Endoscopy. Work is performed independently in various departments and in support of the Perioperative Services. The Coordinator serves as a liaison between surgical services/endoscopy and Materials Management collaborating on ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of supplies used in the Operating Room/Endoscopy. The Coordinator will be responsible for assuring that surgical supplies and equipment is kept in good repair; adequate surgery inventory maintained in a cost effective manner, establishing and maintaining uniformity and accuracy of procedural charges in coordination with MM. Coordinator will focus on daily charge capture duties, bill-only invoice processing, inventory control, and value analysis projects.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage procedure charge capture, special order requisitions, bill-only invoices, and office supplies for the department.
  • Collaborate with SPD, endoscopy, and OR teams to maintain surgical instrumentation, coordinate specialty supplies, and review procedure schedules to anticipate needs.
  • Oversee the loaner equipment process, including receiving, returning, and coordinating equipment needs with biomed, and support cost-saving initiatives in inventory management.
  • Propose and implement process improvements for inventory control, supporting the transition to EPIC and Workday, and assist with physical inventory reviews and par level adjustments.
  • Evaluate new product requests, support value analysis efforts, and recommend equipment for patient care while promoting standardization and minimizing waste.
  • Assist Team Leads with preference card management, and work on medical device tracking, product recalls, and hazard alert notices in Surgical Services.
  • Utilize Lean-Six Sigma principles to organize surgical inventory and maintain constructive relationships with administration, surgeons, vendors, and supply chain teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Strong Microsoft Software experience in Excel, Power Point, and other data management systems

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Education -Completion of a Surgical Technology program or Degree in Business Management/ Inventory Control preferred.
  • Experience -Three (3) years as a Surgical Tech, service line lead or other business operations experience preferred. Inventory Control, supply chain management experience within healthcare mandatory

Physical Requirements:

  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., typing, use of computer and keyboard) may require light lifting and carrying, including boxes, equipment, stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves, and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
